As you likely know, HUCTW’s current contract with Harvard expired September 30, 2022, but HUCTW and Harvard have not yet reached agreement on a new contract for October 1, 2022 onwards. Although negotiators want to reach agreement as soon as possible and have made good progress in a number of important areas, the Union and the University’s ideas on the salary increase program are still too far apart to reach agreement on a new contract at this time. As such, Harvard and HUCTW have agreed to extend the current contract (which includes the HUCTW Agreement and Personnel Manual) until agreement is reached on a new contract.
The 2021 – 2022 Agreement below contains every change that Harvard and HUCTW agreed to as part of our 2021 negotiations, including all new polices, pay changes, and contract language. All provisions of our previous 2018-2021 Contract remain in effect except for the changes described in the 2021-2022 Agreement:
