TAP Tax Reimbursement Program

HUCTW negotiated the  TAP Tax Reimbursement Fund with Harvard in order to help our members recoup a significant portion of the tax cost from non job-related, graduate-level classes taken using the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP). Members who take two or more such classes during the 2024 calendar year may have between $1,000 – $12,000 in taxes withheld from their paychecks due to the University’s  TAP Tax Policy and this program will reimburse you for the majority of the tax withheld. Awards will be based on each applicant’s tax costs and the total number of applications we receive. The application is very short and you can fill it out below. Fill out the application and then submit the relevant paystub.

  • Application Deadline: The application for fall semester is due on November 22, 2024.
  • Award Delivery: All members with eligible expenses who apply by the deadline will receive awards. We will aim to deposit fall awards into one of the December paychecks.

  • Please upload your November 15, 2024 paystub (pay record) from PeopleSoft to our secure server.

    We need this specific paystub (November 15, 2024) to show us how much tax you are having withheld from your paycheck each pay period. We cannot reimburse you unless we have the relevant paystub.

    You can download a particular paystub by navigating to the "My Pay" menu in PeopleSoft. This will open a list of paystubs and you can click on the relevant paystub to view it. Once the paystub has opened, click the download icon to save it to your computer. You may need to unblock pop-ups to do this. A screen capture or photo of the paystub is fine too.
