Reimbursement Program Deadline: March 31, 2021

March 31, 2021 is an important deadline for three reimbursement programs open to HUCTW members: (1) Healthcare Copay Reimbursement (2) Childcare & Healthcare FSA Reimbursements (3) Fitness Reimbursement. These programs assist with expenses from the 2019 calendar year. Please see more details on each program below.

2020 Healthcare Copayment Reimbursement

The HUCTW Healthcare Copayment Reimbursement Program helps HUCTW members with their annual medical copayment costs if they reach above certain amounts. If you or your family members spent a significant amount on copayments or prescriptions in the last calendar year (2020), you may be eligible for reimbursement under this program. You can apply by filling out the copayment reimbursement form and either (1) submitting an Activity Statement from your insurer or (2) submitting receipts as proof of payment. Please note that, if you use the first method, you may want to request the statement from your insurer at least one month in advance of the March 31, 2021 deadline. This program is only for HUCTW members. Learn more: https://huctw.org/copay. Deadline: March 31, 2021

2020 Childcare & Healthcare FSA Reimbursement

In order to be eligible to be reimbursed for 2020 childcare or healthcare costs under the FSA program, you need to have opened a flexible spending account (FSA) during the November 2019 Open Enrollment for the 2020 calendar year. The FSA program allows staff to set aside money from their paychecks pre-tax in order to pay for healthcare expenses or childcare/dependent care expenses. If you enrolled in an FSA for 2020, you have until March 31, 2021 to submit reimbursement requests for FSA-eligible purchases made between January 1, 2020 and March 15, 2021, using the FSA claim form. 2020 Fitness Reimbursement

If you belonged to a health club or gym for at least four months during 2019 and are enrolled in either HUGHP or BCBSMA health insurance plans, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement of your health club membership fees. Both HUGHP and Harvard Pilgrim offer a Fitness Reimbursement Program that will reimburse you for up to $150 in membership fees for qualifying health clubs and gyms. You can apply by submitting your insurer’s Fitness Reimbursement Form.
