HUCTW Rally to Protect People & Programs from Severe Cuts
Save the date!
On Tuesday, December 16, join fellow HUCTW members and community friends as we stand together to protect the people and programs that keep Harvard thriving!
Harvard’s latest financial report shows the University’s finances are strong—and federal funding has been fully restored. This is a moment for stability and support, not severe and unnecessary layoffs that harm our staff and weaken our mission.
Harvard’s greatest strength is its people. Let’s call on school leaders who are moving ahead with painful layoffs at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS)—as well as those contemplating harmful cuts at other Harvard schools—to prioritize the livelihoods of staff, whose work enables faculty to teach, researchers to discover, and students to learn.
Date: Tuesday, December 16
Time: 12:30 pm – 1:15 pm
Location: In front of Smith Center (1350 Mass Ave)
*Dress warmly & we’ll provide hot chocolate! More details on event follow soon.*
This event is hosted by the Harvard Union of Clerical and Technical Workers (HUCTW). All friends are welcome! Read more about proposed cuts and sign our petition here.
