HUCTW Visibility Events
Thank you to all HUCTW members and Harvard community friends for the fantastic turnout at HUCTW’s visibility events to support a strong pay raise program from Sept 19 – 29. More than 1,000 members (as well as friends from campus unions, non-union staff, students, and faculty!) came out to our visibility events across campus to let Harvard know we are united in our fight for strong contract with raises that allow us to keep up with inflation. Thank you for the fantastic turnout and showing up support! You can see many photos from the visibility events throughout the Statement of Support, which was delivered to the deans of all Harvard Schools, VPs, and other key administrators in October.
Although negotiators want to reach agreement as soon as possible and have made good progress in a number of important areas, the Union and the University’s ideas on the salary increase program are still too far apart to reach agreement on a new contract at this time. As such, Harvard and HUCTW have agreed to extend the current contract (which includes the HUCTW Agreement and Personnel Manual) until agreement is reached on a new contract.
