On December 4, 2018, HUCTW members voted to ratify a new contract covering the period from December 5, 2018 to September 30, 2021. The following is a Detailed Summary of the 2018 - 2021 Agreement, which provides specific details of all agreed-upon changes. These changes will be incorporated into two books -- the HUCTW Personnel Manual and the HUCTW Agreement later in 2019. Unpaid Leaves of Absence


HUCTW members who want to take extended time away from work can use paid vacation time, but they can also arrange to take an unpaid leave of absence. Once you have passed your 90 day orientation and review period, you are eligible to take a short term unpaid personal leave of 30 - 90 days. Once you have worked at Harvard for five years, you can negotiate a long term leave of absence of 90 days - one year. The Union has prepared a downloadable Excel Salary Increase Calculator so that you can calculate your salary increase for 2018.
